a bit about fluids

in response to some questions posed on comments (see biscodo's:))to the pipette post.
bodily fluids, in general, do not freak me out all too much--i look forward to exploring mysterious fluids with k and the kid someday.

When i first went down on a woman, well, i had this feeling that i was finally coming home. As for male fluid, i've just never been much into cock; unless of course i am imagining one on me. And, i am a lesbian who has never gotten it on with a man (no intercourse; no oral sex), so maybe my aversion to having male fluids in my mouth has something to do with keeping my orifices male-fluid free (my lips have only been graced with the strange, gentle fluid that spills forth from females).

I think that's it...but maybe tasting the stuff would do me good. i've gotten much more comfortable, since we started this process, getting the spermy liquid on my hands a bit and washing up the syringe and jar after we inject.

tmi--i know, but what can i say--i'm really into fluids!

this post made me laugh.

all fluids except my own and my childrens make me squirmy.

as a kid i used to stuff a sock in my skivvies and pretend i had a pecker.

tmi for tmi

This is not really related to this post in particular, more the blog as a whole... Reading your story got me thinking about the concept of becoming a donor, and the more I think about it the more interesting it sounds. Would you have any information on either formal or informal networks?

Guess I am just looking for info, and basically think it would be cool to help out a couple that doesn't have the biological ability to conceive...

Mmmm.... fluids.....
I struggled with the sperm-thing when I first started the whole baby "journey." Girls just smell better than boys. It really was all about the smell. I guess I'm gay. Anyway. I'm over it now.

hi. ooh, the pipette scares me, too. this is not lab-work. you can do it with plastic and have positive results! (my girl came through the plastic tube).
keep laughing, having fun, drink wine, honor the womb, massage, herbs for fertility, if you want?
you are both amazing. we're all energy! lots of love for this tender time.

It's funny what doesn't seem so TMI after a while during this process, isn't it?

Glad you might be considering options OTHER than the thin glass pipette. Something worth trying is a rubber catheter tip that you stick on the end of a regular plunger syringe.

i've found that if using Pre-Seed or egg whites, if you draw up a tiny bit of that, then the sperm, then a tiny bit more of the chosen cervical-mucus-mimic, you have a good chance of getting it all out. Plus, it's rubber, it's soft, and you can get it right up next to the cervix.

Keep us posted.

Oh, and hey Matthew, what're your stats? ;)

You post things like that out here in the frantic TTC community you're gonna get a lot of takers!

Amanda - this doesn't seem to be the best forum to be posting stats (hardly seems like a meat market).

But feel free to check out my profiles at online meat markets...
